 Beim Anhören von “Krieg der Welten” kam ich natürlich auch zu meinem absoluten Lieblingstrack “The Spirit Of Man”, gesungen von Julie Covington. Hm, ob es wohl von dieser Julie Covington noch mehr gibt? Ihr größter Hit war sicher “Don’t cry for me Argenina” aus dem Musical “Evita”. Natürlich in der Orginalversion von Andrew Lloyd Webber, nicht die mit Madonna!
Aber sie hat sich auch eigenen CDs versucht - leider mit mäßigem Erfolg. Ihre zwei CDs sind inzwischen nicht mehr im Handel und nurnoch als Liebhaberstücke zu bekommen. Das hat mich dann doch wieder auf die Musik aufmerksam gemacht, denn die eine CD bekommt man für 69,90 EUR und die andere sogar nur für 99,- EUR.
Ok, rundrum sie die beiden CDs echt interessant (hatte Gelegenheit mal reinzuhören…), und Julies Interpretation von “Sip the Wine” ist mir dabei besonders aufgefallen. Also doch ein Geheimtip!
