Aktuelle sind die Blueprints der Serenity von QMx. Verkaufspreis 99$ bei einer limmitierten Auflage von 750 Exemplaren.
Endlich gibt es detailierte Pläne des Raumschiffs Serenity auf der Firefly-Serie und dem Kinofilm. Die Laute bei QMx haben keine Kosten und Mühen geschaut und sich durch unmengen an Material aus der Serie und dem Film gearbeitet…
Das Hauptproblem besteht wohl darin, dass bei solchen Serien zu wenig auf die Abstimmung zwischen Außerem und Innerem der Raumschiffe wert gelegt wird. Das CGI/Modellbauteam hat mit den Kulissenbauern oft wenig zutun. Daher passen die im Film gezeigten Räume und Gänge oft nicht so “richtig” in die Modelle.
Joss Whedon hatte dies auch erkannt und wollte mit dem Raumschiff Serenity einmal eine realistischere Kulisse für seine Serie entwerfen. Ihm ist das in vielem wirklich gut gelungen (siehe die Anfangssequenz im Serenity-Film, wo die Kamera in einer Szene den Akteuren durch das ganze Raumschiff folgt).
Aber auch dieser Ansatz hat eklatante Fehler. So war mir nue klar was das für ein Ding in Kaylees Maschinenraum sein soll, was sich da ständig dreht. Assoziiert wurde des natürlich immer mit dem auch von außen sichtbaren Hauptantrieb des Schiffes. Nur liegt der “Maschinenraum” gar nicht mittig im Antriebsteil, also auf der Drehachse des Antriebs!?
Außerdem ist die Antriebswelle viel zu “dünn” für einen Sternenantrieb…
Die Blueprints wollen auch hierfür eine Lösung aufzeigen. Auf dem Promo-PDF sind verständlicherweise nicht alle Details zu sehen - die wollen das Ding ja auch erst noch verkaufen…
